Geek Gossip

#Microsoft - Microsoft is warning enterprise customers that, for almost a month, a bug caused critical logs to be partially lost. The lost logs include security data commonly used to monitor for suspicious traffic, behavior, and login attempts on a network. Microsoft says the logging failure was caused by a bug introduced when fixing a different issue in the company's log collection service. That’s a BIG **** up if you ask us.

#NorthKoreanHackers - North Korean hackers apparently are attending interviews, getting hired and then stealing confidential data from their employers to extort them later. New business model in the works?!

#iPhone16 - Potential issues are being reported with the new iPhone 16 Pro? Apparently it's freezing and restarting randomly for some users. They even upgraded to the latest iOS and it didn't fix the problem! Some people are reporting it crashes up to 20 times a day.

#AI - Apple Intelligence is just a wrapper around OpenAI. Apple’s own employees believe that the company is at least two years behind in AI development

#Rumors - Third Apple gossip of the day - Dummy units of the iPhone SE 4 have been shared by Japanese Apple blog Macotakara. The dummy units have a single rear camera, a mute switch rather than an action button, and a smaller notch with Face ID at the top. The blog also highlights compatibility with existing iPhone 14 cases, and an alleged larger size option – which is unlikely to come to fruition.
